We've had a thrill on the second day of the Belgian competition.

We had some though opponents ahead of us, TNT, WKV 2, The Sharks and WKV 1 (nrs 3, 5, 1 and 2 from Belgium).
Since we were 4th last year, predictions were 3 losses and a win. The day also started off that way, we lost 12 - 0 vs. TNT and won 4 - 0 vs. WKV 2.

But none would have thought we would actually surprise big time that day. The game against The Sharks started surrealistic, we came 3 points ahead and at half time the scoreboard showed 3 - 1. Amazing. The game was a thriller, but we managed to win it with 6 - 5 !!! The first time in Gekko history, we won from The Sharks.
The day wasn't over yet... Versus WKV 1 we did even better. We won 4 - 1. Amazing! never happened before either ...

With the 2 wins, we are now ranked 1st in the Belgian competition.
Unfortunately, with the screwed up playing system (see this post) points don't count towards the final standing. We'll have to do it all over again ...
