  Skiing in the french vosges

My current employer took us to the French Vosges for 4 days of ski fun.
The weather was great, and there was enough snow.
No legs were broken, so that's good too...

  SMS modem or GSM software

Anyone knows software and hardware to receive SMS messages into textfiles.
I need them to make voting software via SMS ...

UPDATE: many people replied about an sms modem or software, thank you for that.
I also found a cable that makes it possible to attach my Nokia 3310 to my PC and receive SMS'es that way, which is a cheap but great solution to my sms modem problem.

We will remember her as a vivid person, till the end.

Does anyone know any reliable SOCKS 5 or 4 proxy servers running on port 80 ? Or a standard proxy server allowing SSL connections ? Put them in a comment, because I need one ...

UPDATE: For those of you who are also looking for a socks proxy servers, I had no luck there yet. But a fairly reliable public proxy on port 80 is 66.119.34.38.

  Host files & https

Well, we have a problem here.
When you have a https site running, and go there all works fine, but when you explicitly set the IP for that domain in a host file, all of the sudden it stops working telling me there is a DNS error ... Why ?

  Looking for sponsors

We are trying to organise a large scale LAN party in Gent or close to it, but, as we all know, that requires some basic funding.
Therefor we are looking for sponsors, no real date or location has been decided, neither do we know if it will actually work out, but if you are interested, contact me as soon as possible.

Currently, a site is being developed by Hawkfield: web development to provide information to sponsors, crew members and interested people.

  Moving 50 meters

The company I work for, Sherpa, decided to move to bigger offices. One of the suggested locations was 50 meters closer to where I live (wow, so much improvement) and looked nice. 8 people will be joining us from TicketClub, a competitor we bought, so that's why expansion was needed.
