Sunday was the first training for the Belgian national team this week.
The weather was fairly good and so was the training. I feel kinda tired now, so I guess it was sufficiant ...
Tomorrow the technical commitee kayakpolo is meeting in Gent.
That normally wouldn't concern me, but it seems there are (once more) some problems rising. Last year, during the Belgian Cup, our referee was given a push by someone from 'De Paddel', at which point the commitee decided to suspend that person for some matches.
Now, suddenly and without reason, they decided to revoke that decision without any new elements and even without telling us.
Ofcourse we pressed charges, and well, that's what I have to be there for.
Last weekend was the kayakpolo tournament at Mol.
Our junior team didn't have enough members to compete, so we mixed a little bit and formed 2 mixed teams.
The first one, in which I was playing, had 6 players all under 23, which was really cool. We played against TNT (lost 12 to 1), KNRS (won, no idea how much), Mokka (the home team, we won) and AKKC (lost 2 to 1). As a result we ended third in the rankings.
Our second team tried to copy us and ended third too, which was really good with 3 junior players.
The season is starting.
This sunday, we will compete at Mol with 2 kayakpolo teams (1 senior, 1 junior).
The sunday after that (30th of March) there is a training for the Belgian national team, 4 of us will go have a look there.
Then, 5th and 6th April, we compete in Helmond (Netherlands) against some dutch teams and some other Belgian teams.
Two birthday parties this past weekend.
On friday we ate at 'The Chess Cafe', which is a WOK restaurant. Really good, and 'a volenté'. After that we made the bowling lanes unsafe (seriously, somehow our lane always got broken :p). The one getting older was Jorn 'Darthy' Audooren, he is getting some gray hairs now (just kidding).
The second birthday party was at the kayakclub, we (me & my parents) were on duty to keep the bar up and running. A band came to play there, really good !
Dawn of Myth, the new round, will start soon.
We have big plans for it. For the first time in GROSS history, we are going to the battlefield with 11 filled communities. That's about 165 people.
If we all turn out to do as well as this round, we might just be one of the biggest alliances in the game.

The kayakpolo training on sunday was interesting. It was the first one outside since a while and located in Lokeren.
The heaven weren't very happy with it apparently, rain all day and not very warm.
But that wasn't the worst part. Somehow the 'Durme' (the river we play on in Lokeren) was very polluted. Black stuff was floating by and smelling like hell. Yuk. Allthough it was good to be back outside after the winter.
